UI Developer, Senior Advisor

Our team has an exciting challenge for a UI developer to assist in building and maintaining a web-application for processing, transforming and routing customer production data. Telework is possible one day per week and the place of performance is located at the Peraton contractor facility in the Ft. Meade area.

As our UI Developer you will have the opportunity to:

Work with our developers to improve usability for our customers.
• Optimize UI design for maximum speed. Work with developers to ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
• As the front end developer will concentrate on everything the user visually sees and interacts with directly in the browser or client-side application. Using languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, front end developer will construct responsive page layouts, navigation menus, buttons, search forms, and all other interface components.
• Test site code or handling specific aspects of a design and development project.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Resolve complex technical design issues
• Develop technical specifications and plans
• Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
• Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

Basic Qualifications:

• An active TS/SCI security clearnace with polygraph
• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or
  university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• JavaScript, Java with strong UI background.
• Experienced working in a Linux development environment
• Springboot, jquery, JavaScript, CSS are the primary technologies.
• Working with Bootstrap, Bootstrap-table, Ploty.

Desired Experience:

• Use of Velocity Templates and their dependencies on Jersey is currently part of our environment, however, Springboot will make these moot as we migrate away.
• AWS

• Automation, CI/CD
• Mongo, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch
• Tomcat
• UX experience
• 508 Compliance
