Product Manager - Emerging Markets Software

Description

This individual will be responsible for supporting the team in the field and our customers as they consider, purchase and implement now software solutions in their businesses. In addition, this role will be responsible for participating in the strategy creation and implementation of the company's focus on software solutions to enhance and augment machines and systems in Emerging Technology Markets.

Specific Duties Include:



  • Conduct software demonstrations to internal and external customers
  • Engage with customers to ensure use and satisfaction with software
  • Collaborate with the machine monitoring team to integrate data for proactive machine control support.
  • Facilitate communication between manufacturing partners and end users to enhance software features and ease of use.
  • Identify training program needs & facilitate training curriculum, partnering with the Solution Center
  • Drive renewals of Carlson Command through education, reporting, and partnering with AM's.
  • This individual will be able to clearly and plainly articulate the value proposition for software solutions in emerging technology.
  • Identify new business opportunities in the emerging technology software space.
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment and software solutions sold within the emerging technology area of responsibility.
  • Assist in training and coordination for basic in-field start-ups that involve software, including specific solutions for technology products.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and the community to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.



Job Requirements:



  • 4-6 years' experience in an industry-related role with involvement in activities such as sales, service, training, or other related work.
  • Strong working knowledge of a construction site and the challenges our customers face every day.
  • Experience in GPS or machine control technology is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Travel expectations: 30-50%, seasonally based.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
