Job Title: Purchasing / Contract Professional

Location(s): Ashburn, VA

(Hybrid working model, 50% office, 50% home)

Job Responsibilities:


  • Working with cross-functional sales, Product, Finance, and attorneys.
  • Necessary skills are to have full ability to draft, negotiate, redline and support Commercial Resale Supplier contractual agreements (Master Agreements, SOWs and product and/or service exhibits) to include:


Deliverables and Scope of Work:


  • Negotiate Favorable Terms and Conditions for Resale of Supplier's Products/Services and Customer deals.
  • Assumptions, dependencies, custom SLAs, etc.
  • Responsibilities of the parties.
  • Pricing.
  • Use of standardized defined terms.
  • Working with Sourcing Managers, Legal, Finance, Business Partners and Systems Teams to resolve any systems / contract issues.
  • Working with Sourcing leadership and teams to develop a Contract Project Plan to create customer agreement, inclusive of positioning of business issues within the main agreement, recommendations for structure of service description, organization of all exhibits and attachments to the agreement, develop a work plan to assign ownership of each component of the contract project plan, develop a strategy to migrate from current agreement, complete plan to manage document control.
  • Developing and executing the contract project plan and taking ownership of any or all of the contract components. Assuring integration of all contract components from a vertical integration and horizontal integration perspective and assure integration of subcontracted ("TPV") services within the Supplier contract.
  • Support and facilitate compliance requirements across the Contract Lifecycle Management Process.
  • Provide Category Management.
  • Strong understanding of technology across any of the following areas : 5G, IOT, Security, Contact Center, UCC, Network and IT.


What We're Looking For...

You'll need to have:


  • Bachelor's degree and six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of technical writing experience, including drafting and redlining contractual Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Six or more years of experience working across large enterprise products and technologies including both wireline and wireless networks. IE. MPLS, Internet, (4G/5G, Wi-FI), software-defined networking, security, advanced communications (voice, SIP, contact center, video), customer premise equipment (CPE), field services, site services, structured cabling, data centers, cloud services, etc.
  • Knowledge of large enterprise life-cycle managed services, integration services, professional services, PMO, ITIL support and governance models, custom API and platform integrations, etc. across a diverse range of global geography, regulatory, governance, risk and compliance environments.
  • Experience integrating multiple product towers and key inter-dependencies, including custom Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Experience managing projects and constructing integrated contracts, working closely with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders in sales, technical pre-sales, product, professional services, operations, transition, and service management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat including commonly used features for tracking changes/markups, revision history, version control, etc.


Even Better If You Have:


  • ITIL, CCPM and/or PMP certification, Contract Mgmt Certification.
  • Experience working with project managers, contract administrators, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), finance staff.
  • Experience with commercial pricing.
  • Experience working in matrix management environments, contract negotiation, internal partners, third-party, and/or customer stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across all management levels and functions.
