What the day will look like

As a Technology People Business Partner, you will report to the Chief People Officer for Aon Business Services (ABS) and Shared Services, and you will work directly to support and partner with our Technology Leadership teams. This is a global role, which thrives on the day-to-day partnership with our ABS and Shared Services People Business Partners in the regions.

Each day will bring something new and require the ability to:

  • Confidently influence, coach, and counsel leaders on people related matters to foster a strong Aon United culture of inclusion, courage, connection, and accountability.
  • Translate business goals into recommendations to continuously improve implementation of operating model, team structures, team and leader effectiveness.
  • Develop workforce plans for each unit you support, encouraging leaders to find new ways of using talent to ensure SIB and expense budgets are met.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with the Center of Excellences (COEs) to innovate and design strategic, practical and pragmatic solutions to improve engagement and performance, representing the voice of your clients.
  • Play an active role in embedding inclusion into all talent processes, coach senior leaders and their teams on how to lead inclusively, demonstrating our I&D framework and COE.
  • Ensure the annual cycle activities (performance, talent, compensation, and engagement) across designated client groups translate to favorable outcomes in retention, engagement, performance, and talent management.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of people organization programs and strategies, partner with COEs to facilitate communication, change management, and adoption.
  • Take on special projects that drive value for the firm and have a direct positive impact on our ability to serve the firm and our clients.

How this opportunity is different

Aon is growing the People Partner team to meet the developing needs of the business. This role is an important member of the Global ABS and Shared Services People team and is embedded within the function to maximize impact and partnership. In this role, you are responsible for building positive relationships with your clients to effectively guide and support on people and talent matters, and to be stewards of the Aon Colleague Experience and our People Operating Model.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • 10+ years professional HR experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in the following areas: organizational effectiveness (org design, change management, team and leader effectiveness), HR strategy, performance management, conflict management, talent management, employee engagement, communication and workforce planning.
  • Proven relationship management skills across levels (from colleagues to senior leaders).
  • Knowledge of US employment laws and currently relevant People trends.
  • Ability to meaningfully interpret data and translate into key trends/themes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred experience in a business partner, specialist, or other HR/ People Organisation related role.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel if needed up to 25% annually.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $135,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in Aon's annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon's discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance. This role does not accrue vacation. Rather, this role is eligible to take paid time off at the discretion of the employee and management in accordance with Company policy and practices.
