Purpose of the Job

HH Global seeks Account Directors (AD) who have broad marketing experience and capabilities to deliver value to our clients by managing existing program scopes, while identifying new workstreams and solutions to deliver HH Global's full suite of services. ADs must have excellent client relationship and communication skills as they are responsible for developing and fostering trust with key stakeholders across all elements of our programs. The AD oversees an onsite client service team in the Technology sector and is accountable for all activities related to exceptional service delivery - creative/digital, item development, procurement, operations, and warehousing/ logistics support. This role is ultimately responsible for the successful execution of client projects and has direct accountability for account financial and operational performance, growth, and all program service level agreements.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, diligent, possesses accountability, high-energy, and is passionate about strategic and creative solutions that exceed client expectations. Each Account Director manages a business within our business, leveraging HH Global's technology and expertise to create new solutions that deliver results. They diagnose and solve any service delivery issues that arise and ensure strategic initiatives, such as sustainability, are met.

This position will be hybrid on-site with our client in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand strong, strategic and collegial client relationships.
  • Maintain and increase program revenue and profitability. Uphold superior service and transparency standards.
  • Act as a vital link between client, creative and production teams, suppliers and shared service teams to ensure all terms of the contract and SLAs are met.
  • Attend client marketing meetings, coordinate with applicable client agencies, and provide strategic guidance to the client service team to optimize bidding and production processes.
  • Serve as the P&L owner for client relationships, including financial and operational performance, budget, and forecast management.
  • Review and maintain job profitability in line with contract obligations.
  • Ensure quantitative and qualitative account performance.
  • Ensure account profitability and competitive pricing in collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing team through developing overarching strategies for sourcing and optimal supplier selection .
  • Partner with Operations Business Partners to produce and present quarterly business reviews with an emphasis on data and incremental growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for account team issues, both internally with support resources and with clients.
  • Understand team roles and responsibilities in order to connect team members with appropriate subject matter experts and support resources.
  • Reinforce compliance with company policies and procedures with respective teams.
  • Manage contract renewals in partnership with sector leadership.
  • Manage SG&A in accordance with budget.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on account management, creative and/or production experience across multiple, high volume or highly complex client(s) within a client service model. Experience leading clients in the Technology sector highly preferred.
  • 5-8 years of direct client interfacing experience.
  • Propensity and experience interacting with senior-level decision makers.
  • Willingness to accept accountability and take a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to learn quickly and proactively adapt to new client requirements.
  • Experience with full P&L oversight and accountability with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience with complex contract review and negotiations.
  • Proven project and people management skills with oversight of large teams.
  • Exhibited proactive and analytical solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven track record of continuously meeting or achieving established goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.

For California applicants: The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work locations. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives in addition to base salary.
