We are looking for an Equipment Engineer to join our Group and support Level+Pressure US Production in driving World Class Excellence within our Equipment Engineering Team. Within Level+Pressure US, we utilize state-of-the-art production techniques and manufacturing technologies to ensure the quality of the instrumentation produced, as well as the safety of employees and the environment. The primary emphasis of this position is to implement and advance technology that increases efficiency and productivity of production equipment while maintaining quality standards to meet the needs of our customer. We're looking for a dynamic, experienced individual who excels at providing technical support and maintaining high standards to drive our production success. Which tasks will you perform? You will:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem solving of equipment issues to meet daily safety, quality, and delivery metrics
- Establish technical expertise on equipment and product assembly and provide technical engineering support to internal partners and customers
- Develop, design, justify, test, and implement new fabrication or assembly equipment and create applicable documentation for maintenance and training
- Lead or support cross-functional project teams to drive lean improvement and implement continuous improvement ideas
- Lead and optimize EE programs such as PM (Preventive Maintenance) or OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through maintenance plan creation and driving improvement projects
- Serve as counterpart to global Equipment Engineering colleagues to escalate issues and represent LP US on various projects as required
- Define, procure, and implement equipment, tools and fixtures with external vendors and parent company for new processes
- Design and create CAD documentation
- Define and conduct training for equipment and product assembly
- Additional duties as assigned.
What do we expect from you? You:
- Advanced knowledge of power circuits, motor controls, machine automation, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and delegate multiple daily tasks of varying scope and impact with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Creative and innovative mindset and can inspire others with your ideas
- Capability to manage projects of varying scope and complexity
- Ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form
- Ability to create and follow technical documentation and written instructions
- Experience with welding, machining, soldering, and assembly in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of welding procedures and material traceability
- Familiarity of Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety Standards
- Ability to apply common sense understanding along with various known concrete factors to determine solutions which best serve the customers and company's needs
- Ability to perform tasks independently with on-time project delivery
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and AutoCAD
- Familiar with equipment software management, computer diagnostics, and networking
- Understanding of metric (SI) base measurement units
