School Based Clinics Admin Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, manages a Denver Health SBHC Program (e.g., Youth Program, Health Education Program, etc.), including personnel, budget, purchasing, operations, program growth, and compliance with federal, state and foundation grants and Denver Health rules and regulations. Performs professional, administrative, and supervisory work in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the program and related grants.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages and coordinates the activities of employees assigned to area; determines work procedures and expedites workflow; assigns duties and reviews work; prepares necessary and required data for grant reporting. Coordinate purchasing for operating supplies and equipment. (20%)
  • Leads team in meeting performance measures, program targets & objectives; leads quality improvement within program. (20%)
  • Directly supervises and oversees performance of 2-15 program employees. (15%)
  • Administers personnel, including administering personnel evaluation programs, maintaining personnel files and budget. Recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new staff. (15%)
  • Builds and maintains relationships with SBHC staff, Denver Public Schools, DH dept. personnel, and community partners. (15%)
  • Travels between different Denver SBHC sites regularly. (15%)

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Work Experience:
  • 1-3 years relevant experience Required

Licenses:

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of health promotion strategies, adolescent health, positive youth development, youth-led initiatives, sexual & reproductive health programs, and/or related evidence-based health and prevention initiatives.
    • Strong presentation, organizational, and planning skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to a variety of staff, managers, and health professionals.
