Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst Contractor with expertise in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), particularly in the Order to Cash (OTC) process. This role involves eliciting requirement needs, performing detailed analysis, documenting processes, data mapping, evaluating impacts, prioritizing requests, and collaborating with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of an EDI project.

Essential Duties

  • Elicit and document requirements for 3rd party to SAP EDI processes, enabling the exchange of EDI data with customers. EDI documents include inbound Customer Purchase Orders (850), outbound Customer Purchase Order Acknowledgements (855), outbound Advance Shipment Notifications (856), outbound Customer Invoices (810), and inbound Remittance Advice (820).
  • Understand and manage old and new conversion data, including Master Data (e.g., Customers, Products, Cross References such as Store Cross Reference and Item Cross Reference).
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to analyze needs, processes, and data mapping requirements, ensuring these are clearly communicated to the technical team for development.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that the software meets the specifications and works as intended.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering assignments and ensuring timely project completion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong experience in modeling (e.g., process/data flows, use cases, swim lane diagrams, AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams, mock-ups/wireframes).
  • Extensive experience with EDI, particularly in X12 and IDoc file formats.
  • Familiarity with Order to Cash (OTC) and Make to Deliver (MTD) processes is a plus.
  • Experience with Jira is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP IDoc is a plus.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Tableau Reporting is a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, ideally in enterprise Business-to-Business environments such as durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems/data analysis, with a proven record of successful large-scale project implementations.
  • Certification as a Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus.
