Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos BI to join our team.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL (Hybrid)

JOB STATUS: Full-Time

TRAVEL: Less than 10%

JOB SUMMARY

This role will focus on analyzing, implementing, and supporting business systems and strategies that directly impact process efficiency, NIST/CMMC compliance, and competitive capabilities for the company. The ideal candidate will proactively identify system improvements while staying updated on the latest advancements in cloud solutions. Success in this role requires the ability to multi-task effectively in both independent and group settings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems, Business Administration, a related Information Technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience demonstrating the required skills, expertise, and knowledge.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience working with Business Information Systems.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, including Time & Expense modules, is required.
    • Proven experience generating reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos BI.
    • Previous exposure to ERP system integrations, particularly with HR, payroll, and finance functions, is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos BI.
    • Strong data management and reporting skills, including experience with SQL, Excel, or similar tools.
    • Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server or Oracle) and experience with stored procedures and API development.
    • Solid understanding of ERP systems and their applications across various business functions (HR, payroll, finance, etc.).
  • Soft Skills:
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving system issues.
    • Strong communication skills to bridge technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ERP Administration:
    • Serve as the primary administrator for Deltek Costpoint and manage integrations with the UKG HRIS system and other corporate platforms.
    • Ensure the overall health, efficiency, and productivity of business applications.
  • User Support:
    • Provide help desk support for Deltek Costpoint and other business systems, assisting users with issues and access needs.
    • Build strong relationships across departments to offer exceptional support and guidance.
  • Technical:
    • Develop and maintain relational databases, SQL scripts, stored procedures, and APIs.
    • Manage ERP system integrations for both corporate and contract systems.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Create and analyze corporate and contract reports using IBM Cognos BI.
    • Develop dashboards and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Integrity:
    • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all business systems.
    • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective measures as needed.
