Role Overview
As the HR Manager, you will be a key driver of organizational success by implementing effective HR processes, building strong relationships, and delivering expertise across all areas of the HR spectrum. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-company environment and can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and inspire a small team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing HR function.
- Develop and Implement HR Processes: Update and standardize effective policies, procedures, and systems that enhance efficiency and compliance across Flux, DEMSI, and M+P.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Partner with leadership to develop strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent while aligning staffing efforts with business goals.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and supporting engagement initiatives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all HR practices adhere to federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Performance Management: Drive the implementation of performance review systems, employee development plans, and succession planning to support growth.
- Training and Development: Identify organizational needs and deliver impactful training programs to empower employees and managers.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong working relationships with leadership and teams across all three companies to align HR strategies with business objectives. In this position, you will work with multiple stakeholders: your fellow members of the leadership team; our recruiters, client managers, and other staff; our staff assigned to temporary placements on location with our clients; our clients; and with corporate HR, Finance, Safety, Risk Management, and other key partners within our sister company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in an organization engaged in government contracts.
- Proven expertise in HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, compliance, and organizational development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading effective HR processes and initiatives in multi-company or matrixed environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- This is a hybrid role with some required time in our Portland office each week.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range of $100,000 - $140,000 (depending upon qualifications and experience)and benefits package.
