Position Overview: As a Radar System Engineer at Aptiv, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation radar systems, shaping the future of automotive technology. Collaborate closely with internal teams to bring groundbreaking radar solutions to market and drive innovation forward. Key Responsibilities: Drive the development of next-gen radar systems from inception to realization, including requirements analysis, algorithm development, and system concept architectures Take ownership of specific algorithms and key aspects of radar design, ensuring robust performance and functionality Lead early-stage sensor development utilizing radar modeling and simulation techniques Collaborate across a global team, providing insights and guidance in radar development efforts Lead technology and radar concept development initiatives, pushing the boundaries of what's possible Troubleshoot complex radar issues and provide guidance to colleagues to reach effective solutions Contribute to the full spectrum of radar sensor development activities, from concept to validation Conduct anechoic chamber testing to verify radar concepts and validate algorithm performance Participate in vehicle-level testing, both on closed courses and public roads, to validate radar sensor performance in real-world environments Position Requirements: Master's degree with 5+ years of experience or Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related technical field. Extensive experience in radar system development, including algorithm design and radar sensor modeling Proficiency in radar simulation tools and techniques Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex radar issues Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams Proven track record of leading technology development initiatives and delivering innovative solutions Familiarity with anechoic chamber testing and vehicle-level testing methodologies Commitment to driving continuous improvement and pushing the boundaries of radar technology #LI-PG2 Privacy Notice - Active Candidates: https://www.aptiv.com/privacy-notice-active-candidates Aptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
