BAS Service Technician

The BAS Service Technician will provide services related to the retro commissioning and calibration of existing control systems. The position will work with project managers and subcontractors to meet project requirements. The control technician will be responsible for assisting in calibration, point to point check out, programming, and testing of Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation and control systems as directed.

Responsibilities/Duties



  • Service and/or maintain building automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues that come up based on service tickets and repair as needed or directed by BAS management.
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Assist with startup, commission, and re-commission of customer systems that utilize pneumatic/electrical/electronic technology.
  • Complete paperwork on-time, including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports.



Required Skills



  • Service and/or maintain building automation systems.
  • Provide exemplary service on local BAS system.
  • Troubleshoot issues that come up based on service tickets and repair as needed or directed by BAS management.
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Assist with startup, commission, and re-commission of customer systems that utilize pneumatic/electrical/electronic technology.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals, and/or a laptop computer.
  • Perform job database backups on a regular basis.
  • Complete paperwork on-time, including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports.


Required Experience/Education



  • 2 years' experience performing the same work.
  • Familiarity with existing BAS components, BACnet and others.
