May Institute invites applications for the position of Senior Clinical Director at the May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in West Springfield, MA. The Senior Clinical Director holds a key leadership position within this school setting. In this role, you will work alongside several special education and clinical experts in the field. You will be responsible for developing and continuing the strategic enhancement opportunities that are provided at West Springfield School designed to meet the unique needs of this population of students. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the application of behavior analytic principles to address learning difficulties and problem behavior.

Get Ready to transform: Your Role in Action!

Provide support in all aspects of programming including but not limited to:



  • Direct mentorship and supervision of a team of Behavior Specialists/BCBAs
  • Provide direction and oversight of the remediation of problem behaviors from conducting functional behavior assessments (including functional analysis) and development of behavior support plans and classroom level interventions.
  • Development and implementation of staff training and provision of ongoing clinical supports to enhance student skill acquisition.


  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including experienced and knowledgeable educational and related services staff to ensure high-quality implementation of evidence-based practices and are appropriately individualized for each individual and setting.


  • Participate in the school leadership team guiding systems-change and capacity building in applied behavior analysis.
  • Ensure direct reports are adhering to internal and external regulatory requirements and participates in operational oversight and management of the school.



Your Skills and Talents: A Winning Combination!



  • Doctoral degree in psychology, behavior analysis, education, or related field preferred; master's degree required
  • Certification as a BCBA or BCBA-D required
  • At least 5 years of experience providing behavioral services to children, adolescents, and/or adults with autism, brain injury and/or neurodevelopmental disabilities
  • Skilled in effective supervision, team building, problem solving, and staff training
