Summary At the direction of the Department Manager, the Payment Operations Specialist will be responsible for support and back up for one or more areas within Payment Operations Group which includes ACH, Wires, Item Processing, Statements, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox, Courier, BankCard and Exception Item Processing. In addition, the Payment Operations Specialist provides management support including RFPs, vendor review, cost analysis, project management and implementation. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Access Database, Business Analytics, Advanced Excel and Word, Advanced Visio. Individual skills vary by department and include the following: Wires Global Funds Exchange (GFX & GFXW,) EIM, or equivalent experience with wire systems ACH PIM Clarity or equivalent experience with risk management software Bankcard
