Job Summary:
|
The Director of Western US Admission directs all external west coast undergraduate admission activities in support of Marist's mission and institutional goals. This position is primarily responsible for speaking to prospective students and their families about Marist through high school visits, college fairs, information sessions and campus visits. This position is also responsible for conducting freshman application readings.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree
- 3 - 5 years of related experience
- Valid driver's license required

Essential Functions:
|
- Independently manage geographic territory by analyzing multiple data sources to develop and create an extensive travel, recruitment, communication and outreach plan to drive new student enrollment in support of the strategic goals of the university.
- Review and make admission decisions on traditional undergraduate applications to Marist. Thoroughly evaluate student credentials and personal qualities. Serve as a member of the Admission and Scholarship Committee which renders final admission and merit award decisions for all applicants.
- Conduct information sessions and college fairs/nights, meeting with prospective students and their families. Prepare and revise presentations as needed to ensure appropriate information for audience (e.g., general, specific academic area, honor program).
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails that come through the Marist Admission Office from prospective students and their families. Provide guidance to students, parents, and guidance counselors.
- Assist covering virtual programs for the main campus and other regions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Admission Program to identify and utilize alumni to broaden and diversify recruitment and outreach activities. In addition, cultivate relationships with current students and parents to assist with recruiting efforts.

- Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
- University pays 100% tuition only.
- Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

Work Schedule:
|
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm; weekend/evening work in fall and spring semesters can be extensive at times. During the fall semester travel for 10 weeks, 5 weeks during the spring. In that time, required to have 4-5 points of contact a day (high school visits, college fairs). Days generally begin around 8 a.m. and end around 9 p.m. as traveling to campus for various admission related events throughout the academic year involves a longer workday (Move-in Day, Accepted Student Weekend, Staff retreat, Training sessions).
