Position Title: Deployment Lead, Unified Platforms
Salary Range: $107,120 - $123,600
Department: Technology
Reports to: VP, Platform Engineering
Location: Remote
Schedule: M-F, 35 hours

Position Overview:
The Unified Platform Deployment Lead is responsible for the coordination of multi-platform product (e.g., the UP) deployment across all platforms and integrations for each environment promotion. This role will develop comprehensive deployment plans as well as lead the execution of the deployment plans with readiness checklists and staged rollouts. A typical day will involve collaborating with all project teams to manage interdependencies, ensure alignment between all deployment-related activities, and monitor and control progress through the deployment plan.
Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Designs, builds and optimizes DevOps / automation systems that help to deploy code across the platform.
  • Plans and executes environment promotions of code and configurations for the Unified Platform
  • Accountable for the coordination, testing, and consumption of platform updates as applied to vendors for their product
  • Ensures stability in the production environment promotion. Also responsible for near-production (QA, UAT, training) environments
  • Conducts research, tests, and executes new techniques which could be reused and applied to the Unified Platform.
  • Conducts training sessions for the members of the team, as well as vendor partners regarding how to best support the deployment of code across environments to ensure up-time.
  • Communicates effectively with the Unified Platform product team regarding impacts from deployments from product or vendor sources
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices and lead a team of cross-functional resources. Coordinate with the testing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Required Skills/Abilities:


  • High level of experience with system automation, deployment, integration and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail and result-oriented individual; ability to handle the complexity of a multi-platform and multi-environment product suite
  • Ability to meet deadlines and remain solutions-oriented when unexpected issues arise.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technologically adept, possessing skills in configuration, maintenance, and securing multiple integrated systems.
  • Ability to successfully manage source code management through deployment state, i.e., Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment while ensuring up-time.



Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or comparable field or 10 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role.



Physical Requirements:


  • Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders to provide status updates and potential roadblocks
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time while reviewing data on a screen
