The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems, and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
1. Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or
medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Graduate of a
Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical
technology) and certification as a Medical Lab Technician. Ability to implement and
perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and
regulations.
2. Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test
3. Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriate
certification examination
a. Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting
