Title: Clinical Research Coordinator Job Class: Non-Exempt/Hourly, $31.25-33.65 per hour DOE PI/Reports To: Dr. Jodie Haselkorn At the Seattle Institute for Biomedical and Clinical Research (SIBCR), scientists seek new ways to improve the health and well-being of Veterans through research and education conducted at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS). SIBCR's research spans a broad range of areas such as mental health; neuroscience; diabetes, endocrinology and nutrition; prosthetics; oncology; age-related diseases; and, pulmonary diseases. We are seeking a [Research Coordinator] for [Dr. Joe Smith] in the [Mental Health Service line]. Summary: The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will work as a key member on the MS-Cafe Study team. Additional information on this study can be found here: CAFE-MS (Confirmatory Trial for Alleviating Fatigue with Elevida in Multiple Sclerosis (MS)) \| Accelerated Cure Project The MS-Cafe Study aims to improve fatigue management of MS patients within the VA healthcare system. The CRC will be responsible for managing study recruitment, local site budget, data collection, and regulatory submissions. Veterans may be recruited from the VA Puget Sound MS clinic as well as from a national cohort. No biospecimen sample collection will be involved with this study. This position will require an individual who understands the principles of scientific investigation and clinical trials, is capable of in-depth understanding of the study protocol and is able to make complex decisions independently. The candidate must possess strong scientific, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A BA/BS or higher is required, with a degree in a science-related field strongly recommended. This position is based in Seattle. This is a full-time, Monday - Friday, hybrid (Remote and In-office) position. Salary is based on the applicant's research experience and includes benefits. Responsibilities may include: Provide daily operational support Ensure compliance with applicable IRB, human subjects, and data security guidelines and regulations Support recruitment, screening, enrollment, consent, and follow-up of clinical trial participants according to study protocols, including: reviewing medical charts telephone and in-person recruitment of study participants recruiting and consenting participants administering questionnaires timely and accurate data entry preparing and tracking participant mailings tracking study activities Assist with development and maintenance of databases and files Assist with grant submissions, including preparing applications, conducting literature reviews, and other tasks as needed Performs other related duties as outline in research protocols, and other duties as assigned Position Requirements: BA/BS with 1+ years of experience in human subject health care research preferred Outstanding organizational and communication skills Keen attention to detail, and ability to multi-task Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently Self-motivated Knowledge and Experience: Experience with electronic medical record systems Knowledge of research compliance regulations Experience using Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Experience using a reference manager How to apply: Please complete online application and upload a resume.
