  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Responsibilities

Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator at Lovelace Health System is accountable for assisting the organization to improve quality, and safety, and reduce operational risk exposure through performance improvement processes and meeting regulatory and accreditation requirements.

This position supports a culture of high reliability and the measurement of care quality identifying opportunities and executing strategies for performance improvement in the following areas of the organization:

* Outcomes - highly reliable processes, delivering exceptional outcomes and / or optimal health

* Safety - Deliver the safest care to patients driven through leadership and a culture of high reliability, high value, high performance

* Experience of Care - relationship-centered care grounded in empathy, dignity, respect and collaboration.

The position will participate in key committees and quality and patient safety initiatives to support the hospital and division quality and patient safety plans.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, Clinical Discipline (RN, RT, PT, other) preferred. Will consider degree in Healthcare Administration of Public Health.
  • Experience leading successful Quality Improvement projects.
  • Experience with change management with the ability to provide leadership in the adaptation and implementation of new processes and /or technology that enhance Quality and Patient Safety.
  • Experience supporting patient safety and high reliability programs.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a complex health system (hospitals, ambulatory clinics, post-acute care, etc.)

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of clinical experienced.
  • Certification in Patient Safety or Quality.
