The Commercial Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Commercial Sales and Service and work to maintain and expand business within assigned Commercial customer accounts. This is a highly visible role within the company, and the right person will have the chance to join a global organization that has grown its sales by over 43% in the last few years. TLD has a customer-focused, supportive sales culture. The right person will enjoy the opportunity to travel and sell to some of the most recognizable Commercial customers in North America.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage key Commercial accounts, and remain involved with the customer, from commissioning the equipment through service issues, seeking to expand business relationships, and introduce new products wherever possible

* Develop a strong understanding of products and services offered by the company, and develop strong relationships with your customers to serve them better

* Develop a strong knowledge of key competitors and a strong understanding of the Commercial Ground Support Equipment industry to better understand sales opportunities

* Participate in national and international sales meetings to give the leadership team an accurate understanding of your business and to learn from other members of the sales team

* Utilize ERP system knowledge to generate quotes and reports using internal company tools

* Additional assignments as designated by supervisor(s)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* Bachelor's Degree required, with a technical or business degree a plus

* Must have a demonstrated track record of sales success and 5+ years of relevant work experience * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

* Must be a relationship builder with the ability to be immediately credible with, and accepted by, key customers

* Must be a self-starter who can work independently, is driven by personal goals, and is accessible to customers

* Must be able to work autonomously, reliably, and accurately

* Able to travel overnight up to 70%, including some international travel

* Mechanical aptitude required

* Must be a team player who can be productive in a supportive sales culture where common sense and followthrough is valued, as well as collaborating on proposals with other team members

* Must be someone who wants to build a career in a stable company where there is very low turnover at the sales manager level

* Prior experience with commercial Ground Support Equipment desired

* Aviation enthusiasm a plus
