Job Location: Delhi, LA Hydro employees can enjoy several benefits including: Medical, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts Retirement Savings Plans with Company Match/Contributions Education Assistance Bonus Plan Eligibility Parental Leave Starting Rate of pay: $18.28/hour Shifts Available and Hours: Day shift 5AM to 1PM Job Responsibilities: Fluent in reading a tape measure. Set up assembly line style welding for faster production, handling several hundred welds within a single shift. Identify proper welding wire and alloy for the applicable base metal. Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, and nozzles, and set up proper tension on rollers. Set the proper welding parameters (voltage and wire speed). Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal and Vertical Fillet Positions Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment (e.g., brushing, cleaning, straightening and ensuring weld quality). Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Technical training with a focus in welding(preferred). Minimum 1 year of experience with aluminum welds and the ability to pass a Welding Performance Test given on-site during the interview process (Q.A. determination). Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Must have the ability to stand on hard surfaces for 8 hours or more per day.
