Job description:

Juniper Networks, System Technologies team (ST) is providing world class hardware engineering designs & test across all Juniper networking products.

We're looking for a passionate Engineer to join the Mechanical Design Validation Test team, taking lead role in selected initiatives.

You will be working in a cross functional team engaging with Mechanical, Thermal, Packaging teams along with HW & SW Development & Program Management to ensure product quality.

You'll oversee mechanical quality, driving test to discover failures early. You will improve test processes to enhance efficiencies, reduce cost and improve internal customer satisfaction.

You will gain exposure to world class networking products, working with the most advanced technologies.

Responsibilities:



  • Create Test plans, according to Juniper MDVT guidelines.
  • Plan activities, budget, and drive MDVT execution on Juniper HW products.
  • Perform hands-on testing on Juniper products with different equipment: shock & vibration table, drop machines, environmental chambers, acoustic chamber etc.
  • Analyze test results, perform first debug, identify issues, file bugs, recommend and reverify any solution.
  • Test report review and sign off by closing all the issues found and archiving test data & reports for various revisions of HW in compliance with ISO & TL9K standards.
  • Coordinate activities with ODMs: Evaluate test capabilities, assess gaps, and find mitigations. Test plan review, monitor execution, support debug. Test Report review. Help address any critical issues found during test.
  • Manage external labs: build & maintain good partnership, negotiate project finances (quote, invoices, and PO) by close communication, coordinate test schedules based on project priorities, jointly execute tests by working hands on with lab test resources, drive dependencies by weekly & monthly meeting follow ups.
  • Plan test logistics i.e. work closely with packaging team to procure packaging ahead of time, coordinate with bring up team to assure proper HW & SW configuration for test is available on time.


Qualifications:



  • MS Mechanical Engineering + 2-5 yrs related experience OR BS Mechanical Engineering + 5-10 yrs related experience
  • Good knowledge on MDVT, NEBS testing. Familiar with GR-63, GR-3160, GR-3580, GR-487, ETSI standards
  • Min. 2 years of experience in MDVT testing
  • Solid understanding of Mechanical design & test e.g. shock, vibration and structural analysis



Minimum Salary: $140,800.00

Maximum Salary:$202,400.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $140,800.00 and $202,400.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
