Your opportunity

When you think of financial applications, do you buzz with excitement? Does the opportunity to work on systems design wake you up in the morning? If so, this is the role for you! New Relic's Lead Enterprise Systems Engineer will support the development, engineering and design of our Xactly application environment and its inbound integrations. The successful candidate will be a key driver of systems and process improvements to meet immediate needs and ensure the platform can scale for future company growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Compensation, Accounting, and Revenue Operations teams to enhance and optimize the existing Xactly. This role will advise and influence key data design and architectural structure that supports our sales commission calculations, and so much more!

Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on the applicant's location.

What you'll do



  • Talk to end-users and operations leaders to understand requirements, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Build and maintain complex commissioning rules resulting from changes to the sales compensation model.
  • Manage stakeholder requirements and develop detailed implementation plans.
  • Partner with Sales Comp team to support end-users in real-time with issues relating to Xactly.
  • Analyze data in Xactly and upstream to identify the root cause of issues in order to provide recommendations on the best course of action.
  • Automate Xactly processes with validation rules and SQL using Xactly Connect.
  • Enhance and maintain Xactly Connect integrations with SalesForce and Workday.
  • Build and maintain Xactly reports and analytics for Sales Comp, FP&A, and Sales Operations teams.


This role requires



  • Xactly administrator experience (Xactly certification preferred)
  • Experience with Xactly Connect
  • 5-8 years supporting finance applications
  • Strong understanding of SQL, data structures, data modeling, & database schema
  • Strong understanding of SalesForce opportunity to order object model
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical issues and resolve problems at all levels of the organization


Bonus points if you have



  • Experience with Xactly Commission Expense Accounting (CEA)
  • Experience with Anaplan financial modelling

The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
