POSITION SUMMARYThe Repair Technician is responsible for executing the daily activities of the Rigid Endoscope service environment, including the service on new orders as well as the re-service of items that have failed in the field.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform the repair of endoscopes in accordance with company and OEM procedures and work instructions.Adherence to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with ISO quality standards.Assist in the modification of detailed work instructions for the manufacturing, assembly and test of Rigid endoscope practices.Assist in the diagnosis and service of repaired endoscopes that have failed in the field.Comply with ISO quality standards including capturing assigned data for analysis and reporting to the customer and suppliers.Documents and maintains accurate records of all evaluations, repairs, adjustments, calibrations, etc. performed on all equipment.Adheres to the Company's Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System procedures, and all safety policies and procedures.Assist other areas of the service operations on and as needed basisThe above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (one or more of the following):High School Diploma or equivalent required3 to 6 months or more of previous device assembly/repair experienceDemonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies with minimal guidancePREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociate degree or its equivalent in electronics or equivalent medical device training is preferred.One year of previous assembly or repair experience of rigid endoscopesPrevious experience working in environment subject to ISO 13485: 2016 Medical DevicesREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESAttention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Demonstrated hand-eye coordination.Ability to interpret schematics, prints, illustrated parts, diagrams and technical manuals. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThe position has no supervisory responsibilities.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but it is an active repair space with moving inventory.PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDSThe position requires ability to lift, carry and/or move various items up to 20 pounds, while utilizing proper technique.While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to key, handle or feel; talk or speak; hear, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch; bend; reach with hands and arms; and walk.
