Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the project's operations and site leaders adhere to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance requirements, including Apprenticeship Reporting and Prevailing Wages. The Apprenticeship Compliance Coordinator will provide audit information to management by researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, and enforcing corrective action where necessary.



Responsibilities

    Support multiple projects for Apprenticeship and Prevailing Wage compliance requirements.
  • Maintain tracking and reporting spreadsheets needed for each project.
  • Partner with the Workforce Development Coordinator to proctor any needed NCCER testing needs (remote or onsite) Document Number: HR-CORP-JOB-458 Approval Date : Revision #: v1.3 MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure (CE&I) Page 2 of 4 Printed on: 12/17/2024.
  • Ensure time is being coded correctly everyday within record keeping system and the integration to Power BI reporting.
  • Work with Analytics team to build and modify Power BI dashboards and reporting.
  • Work with all subcontractors to get accurate payroll and apprenticeship record.
  • Audit and review Subcontractor's payroll to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with Payroll and InEight team to ensure accurate reports and coding.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support internal audit * Share inaccuracies to correct leaders when auditing and reviewing payroll or apprenticeship records are not in compliance.
  • Utilize systems such as the DOL Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Data System (RAPIDS), National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Registry, CE&I University, and ApprentiScope to track and monitor apprentice progress to completion.
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to site leaders or client as requested * Participate in internal management meetings, sharing updates, best practices and lessons learned when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge and stay up to date on compliance and regulatory matter * Assist in the recruiting and onboarding of apprentices as neede * Assist Construction Managers with crew planning of apprentices as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years' relevant experience
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Previous InEight experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Mastec Industrial's Zero Injury principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain NCCER Proctor certification.
  • Basic knowledge of navigating and pulling reports in Power BI or similar data warehouse software
  • Basic problem-solving skill
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill * Must be highly organized and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to travel to jobsites as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.

HOURS:

This position is a standard full-time position, with general business 40-hour operating schedule, Monday-Friday.

TRAVEL:

Position maybe required to travel from time to time for training, meetings, or site visits. Travel may be up to 10%.
