The Molex Corporate Development and Strategy team is seeking a Director of Corporate Strategy to join our team. The Strategy team is responsible for collaborating with Molex leadership to set the organization's strategic priorities and supporting Molex's teams through execution. They are focused on assessing new market opportunities, identifying the key spaces where Molex should compete, defining the capabilities needed for Molex to succeed, and driving flawless execution against the vision. What You Will Do The Director of Corporate Strategy will work collaboratively with our corporate and divisional leadership teams to develop and execute the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Molex's Global Operations Capability (GOC) and Global Supply Chain teams. Molex's GOC has responsibility for the company's 60+ plants and operational facilities globally. The GOC and Supply Chain teams support each of Molex's market-focused Divisions and supports all Molex industries in the manufacture of connectors and related solutions used in end markets including datacenters, medical, mobile phones, consumer electronics, automobiles, clean energy, electrification, and general electronics markets. This role is based out of Molex's Chicago (IL) or Lisle (IL) offices. You will lead strategic projects and initiatives across the GOC and Supply Chain organizations. You will successfully define potential operational and footprint improvements, develop workplans, execute primary and secondary research, assess existing and potential global footprint opportunities, and interface with key business leaders to organize Molex's response to critical strategic opportunities. You will be responsible for creating partnerships and driving collaboration with Molex business and operations leaders and evaluating potential external partnership opportunities to drive strategic decisions and execution against strategic plans. In particular, this may include: Strategy Development & Execution: partner with the GOC and Global Supply chain leadership team to develop, refine, and set the capability-wide strategic priorities and develop action plans, milestones, and tracking mechanisms to drive execution and implementation * Outline problem statements, develop research plans, execute analyses to support strategic direction for GOC's plants and facilities * Support the annual strategic planning and annual operating plan (AOP) including plan support, process management, cross-functional engagement * Actively support key implementation activities and support execution against strategic priorities and plans, including linkage of footprint and transfer activities to global supply chain requirements Operations and Footprint Planning: define, conduct analyses to assess the attractiveness and capabilities of Molex's existing manufacturing footprint. Define future needs and assess long-term capability requirements, facility visions, and operational excellence projects for overall Molex operations footprint. * Plan, oversee, and support execution of primary and secondary market research * Leverage existing databases, work across the organization to understand internal expertise, conduct subject matter expert interviews to gain insight into market dynamics * Develop fact-based, economically driven, 'outside-in' perspectives on potential footprint requirements and operational excellence initiatives * Monitor and evaluate key market trends, dynamics, geopolitical challenges and translate into actionable insights for Molex leadership * Define implications and outline action plans for global operations Supply Chain Support: engage and support Molex's global supply chain teams across the organization on key strategic matters * Support and drive linkages between global operations team and implications for Molex's global procurement and supply chain teams (and vice-versa) * Provide fact-based points of view on potential supply chain and procurement strategies in response to market conditions, commodity prices, logistics opportunities / challenges, international trade and customs developments Executive Interaction: interface with and serve as a trusted strategic advisor and thought partner across the GOC global leadership team. The ability to build alliances both within GOC, global supply chain, and across the broader Molex organization to influence and shape GOC's vision and strategic priorities will be important to the success of this Director. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * A minimum of two years of post-MBA (or equivalent) professional experience, ideally with a top-tier strategic consulting firm or corporate strategy / corporate development team for an interconnect, electronics, consumer, or high-tech company * Structured and logical thinking with an ability to identify core business problems and demonstrate a 'nose for value' to discern what is most critical and important * Analytical rigor and proven capability managing quantitative analysis; experience with financial modeling is a plus * Powerful written communication skills and a proven ability to succinctly articulate key elements of complex topics in written form * Strong verbal communication and experience expressing and defending a point of view (with data) in front of c-suite executives * Proven track record as an individual contributor driving market landscape assessments, strategy-making skills, as well as a positive agent for change and execution * A willingness and desire to occasionally travel to Molex's global operations locations, predominantly in Asia - generally ~1 trip per quarter What Will Put You Ahead * Experience architecting and supporting execution of strategic and operational transformations within a technology-focused organization * A modest and humble demeanor * Utmost respect and dignity in all manners * A thirst for learning and desire to continually increase one's own knowledge and a willingness to share that knowledge with others * A strong bias for action and a proven ability to drive projects through execution * Proven managerial skills and a mentorship mindset to build and grow the Corporate Development & Strategy Associate team * An ability and understanding for how to deliver on short time frames and be committed to meeting deadlines at all times * Prior experience or a strong desire to work with global teams and individuals from multiple countries and cultures At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for variable pay, issued as monetary bonus or in another form.
