As Commercial Lending Coordinator you'll be responsible for assisting with Craft3's commercial loan closing activities. You'll work closely with Business Lenders, Team Managers, Commercial Lending Director, Lending Services and Risk Management, as well as working directly with clients.

Supervision and feedback will focus on your development, aiming to help you strengthen your skills and support your learning and growth.

Your responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities will include:

Lending support & coordination




  • In coordination with the lender and Lending Services, responsible for assisting with loan closings. Act as the primary liaison between the Lending and Loan Closing team. Once loan is approved, work with the lender and or management on process and timing of the loan closing. Sets clear expectations with the lender and client. Initiates title searches, and third-party reports, such as appraisals, environmental, and construction feasibility reports, for review by lenders, underwriters, and risk management. Maintains and provides consistent follow up with clients on outstanding items needed for underwriting, including financials, contracts, and other packaging items, as well as funding/closing conditions. Assist the closing team and client with completing any outstanding closing requirements, and order documents, once complete reviews closing docs for accuracy before sending them to lender for review. Coordinates with the closing team to open escrow with title/escrow companies, and sets up escrow files, review settlement statements, and orders payoffs. Communicate with the closing team and the client to collect all required loan-related documents necessary to perfect our security interest. Act as primary customer-facing backup for lenders for loans in active closing. Set up and maintain legal and electronic files following established standards, ensuring protocols for file setup and maintenance are followed.


Customer Service



  • Provides clear communication to clients regarding loan checklists and assists with the gathering of complete loan packages. Delivers excellent customer service to both external and internal customers in the execution of all assigned business processing duties and within service level standards. Follows Craft3 security policies, ensuring that all customer information and confidential information is processed and handled in a secure manner and environment.


Portfolio Management




  • Follow up with client any post-closing required loan documentation. Assists with loan disbursements, including providing back-up support for draws including construction draws. Perform loan servicing activities such as general loan maintenance, including monitoring of the past due reports and providing back-up support to lenders for collection efforts. Assists with file audits and financial covenant requests as needed


Cross Team Development




  • Collaborate with other Craft3 business units to streamline systems and processes. Contribute to the body of knowledge, sharing best practices and suggest process improvement ideas.


Authorities




  • Exercise authority to implement management policies or operational practices.

Your experience



  • Minimum one year's experience in loan documentation, loan portfolio management, or related experience. Demonstrable experience with some or all the following: Client and customer facing experience Loan closing activities Basic knowledge of loan structure/underwriting and/or credit risk Basic knowledge of financial statements


Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Supervision

This position will not manage any direct reports.

Travel

Travel approximately 2 weeks per year is expected for customer and office visits, as well as company events across Oregon and Washington.

What we offer

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 and is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual pay will depend on experience. Grade for this position is 9-10. This position is FLSA status non-exempt. We offer hybrid work flexibility, and employees have access to physical offices in Seattle and Spokane, Washington, and Portland and Astoria, Oregon. Employees may take advantage of flex/alternative work schedules.
