Position description

Associate Specialist - Huang lab

The Huang Lab in the Cardiovascular Research Institute at University of California, San Francisco is seeking an Associate Specialist. The candidate will conduct both independent and collaborative studies on the molecular and cellular basis of organ development, regeneration and degeneration.

Required Qualifications:



  • Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization.
  • At least five-year experiences in cardiovascular research.
  • Proficient in cardiomyocyte isolation and culture, rodent myocardial infarction surgery model, library generation and bioinformatics analysis for single-cell RNA-seq techniques.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong prior experiences on mentoring undergrad and graduate students as well as applying external funds are preferred.
