As part of a Global Talent Acquisition team, the Manufacturing Recruiter I will work to promote Protolabs as the employer of choice for talent in digital manufacturing. This role will work collaboratively with US manufacturing leaders and other partners across the organization to provide a top-notch hiring experience for managers and an unrivaled experience for all candidates. Through full-cycle recruitment, the Recruiter I will use best practice recruiting strategies to source, screen, and hire talent for all US manufacturing facilities.
This is a hybrid role based in Minnesota and responsible for full-cycle recruiting in all US manufacturing locations. This person will rotate a flexible hybrid schedule to each Minnesota manufacturing location: Plymouth, Rosemount, or Brooklyn Park.

What You Will Do:
  • Be responsible for full-cycle recruiting for internal and external entry level manufacturing roles with opportunity to hire skilled roles as needed.
  • Manage a high volume of requisitions with many moving pieces of the recruitment process
  • Provide all candidates with a world-class experience
  • Partner, guide, and advise hiring managers and other leaders on staffing needs as well as the recruitment process including but not limited to: Kickoff sessions, Interview process, Debrief sessions, and Onboarding, etc
  • Evaluate and qualify candidates through phone screens and structured interviews
  • Present and close candidate offers
  • Build pipeline for difficult and high-demand roles
  • Collaborate with HR partners and other HR Center of Excellence (COE) as needed
  • Participate in regional shift meetings to identify and prepare for future needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with college career centers to recruit current and past students
  • Plan and attend career fairs and events as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and clean data for reporting in all phases of the recruitment process, including EEO statistics.
  • Assist other recruiters as needed
  • Perform special projects as assigned
What It Takes:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-2 years full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience using social media, networking sites, and other sourcing methods to build a pipeline of candidates
  • Communication and collaboration - ability to partner, guide, and give internal customers and candidates an exceptional hiring experience
  • Self-starter who works with a sense of urgency;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize many open roles, interviews, and other recruitment activities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset - ability to suggest or make processes more efficient
  • Demonstrate flexibility and objectivity in responding to changing business needs.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and database tools.
  • Ability to learn new concepts, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Practice discretion while dealing with confidential information (HR and other)
  • Must be able to identify opportunities and develop plans/programs to see them through to completion

Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
