Detailed Description:

Position Summary: As a Production Supervisor/Team Lead, you will be at the forefront of our production teams, guiding and coaching associates to meet safety, quality, and production goals. Using a process-based leadership model, you will collaborate closely with the Production Manager/Asset Lead to establish priorities and ensure that short-term and long-term objectives are met. This role requires strong leadership and coaching skills to drive success.

Essential Accountabilities:



  • Execute business processes to maintain production rates and adhere to policy and procedure expectations.
  • Manage the performance of direct reports, including one-on-one meetings, training schedules, reviews, development plans, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Communicate business priorities, strategies, and information to the team and other functional areas.
  • Ensure a safety and quality culture is sustained.
  • Manage and maintain staffing of full-time and temporary associates.
  • Be accountable for metrics tied to the work center scorecard and ensure the accuracy of shift data (output, labor waste, downtime).
  • Develop familiarity with converting equipment to guide associates in troubleshooting and problem-solving when equipment is not running properly.
  • Ensure proper closure of work orders, entering hours and quantities, and lot of the day.
  • Investigate and document accident reports in collaboration with the Safety Coordinator and document near-miss opportunities.
  • Fill in for the Asset Leader in their absence when assigned or necessary.

This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive (A safety-sensitive position is one in which the associate's inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate's safety or the safety of others).

Qualification Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:



  • Internal Candidates:


    • High School or GED
    • 2 years of production operations experience
    • 1 year of demonstrated leadership competency (e.g., backup team lead, problem-solving, effective interpersonal skills)


  • External Candidates:


    • High School or GED
    • 2 years of production operations experience
    • 1 year of supervisory experience


  • Proficiency with PCs, including Microsoft Office and JD Edwards
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and SPC/SQC tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with OSGH, GMP, and FDA regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Strong leadership, verbal, written, analytical, mathematical, reasoning, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with diverse personalities
  • Organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
Education
High School (required)
Experience
2 years: Internal - High School or GED and 2 years of production operations experience with 1 year of demonstrated leadership
competency (i.e., back up team lead, problem solving, effective interpersonal skills)
External - High School or GED and 2 years of production operations experience and 1 year of supervisory experience (required)
