Job Summary

The Brand Manager will lead brand building initiatives across North America. The Brand Manager influences cross-functional partners in a matrix organization to include Sales, Finance, Product Management, Global Brand Communications. This role oversees the Heated Cooking, Beverage, Food Prep and Garment Care for the Black and Decker Brand.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Brand Manager will have responsibility for optimizing short- and long-term volume and profit performance for a brand portfolio by developing, championing & executing the strategic vision.



  • Conduct thorough market research, utilize consumption data, and competitive analysis to identify key consumer insights, market trends, and competitive advantages to influence product development and go-to-market plans.
  • Develop and execute compelling in-store and .com assets, from brief to implementation, to educate shoppers and drive successful conversion of Black + Decker Branded Kitchen and Garment Care appliances.
  • Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, sales, global brand communications) to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans in North America.
  • Implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches, including positioning, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Contribute to line review success by crafting compelling narratives that spotlight our go-to-market plans and position Black + Decker for market leadership, supported by impactful marketing and sales enablement.
  • Leverage P&L knowledge to collaborate with finance and other partners, driving delivery of business objectives (net sales, gross margin, market share) by bringing forward real-time recommendations that protect and enhance net sales and operating profit goals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong brand identity and positioning within the target market and track to metrics to evaluate our effectiveness in reaching that consumer.
  • Implement model variant development and product launch strategies that align with brand goals, are optimized for retailer success, and strengthen our market position.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 6+yrs. experience in marketing with brand management and experience in the following areas:

    • P&L management; development and execution of brand marketing; cross- functional knowledge;
    • Strong understanding of brand foundational tools, consumer insight identification, segmentation and target development

  • Results-Oriented: Strong drive to achieve results and exceed expectations.


Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Circana or Nielsen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must exhibit strategic thinking skills
  • Must have ability to analyze complex data and situations and develop a range of simple solutions
  • Must be able to utilize quantitative, qualitative and syndicated research to develop brand plans
  • Must be an strong presenter, with strong presence and an ability to influence key internal and external customers
  • Must have strong ability to interact and collaborate with multiple functions throughout the organization
  • Travel up to 10% of the work time.

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Three days in office (Tues - Thurs).
