Description
Regenstrief Institute is seeking a Project Manager with the Medical Informatics group in Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) to manage project funded by granting agencies and other customers. The Project Manager works closely with the project owners to manage the client or agency relationship, ensuring their satisfaction with the project.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Project Manager works to manage projects funded by granting agencies and other customers. The Project Manager works closely with the project owner to manage the client or agency relationship, ensuring their satisfaction with the project.

This position is a hybrid setting with at least (1) day onsite based on business needs.

Anticipated salary range $61,5000 - $69,000 (depending on experience)



POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Related responsibilities include:


  • Manages client relationships and client satisfaction

  • Represents PI's/staff management in meetings and makes decisions on project issues in coordination with project owners

  • Monitors and manages requirements scope in coordination with project owners and customers

  • Assists project investigators and/or customers in initiation and management of research projects

  • Prepares and maintains documentation to support accuracy in carrying out protocols

  • Meets and manages all responsibilities in a timely manner

  • Assists project owners in identification and resolution of issues related to security and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.

  • Interacts with the administration to ensure compliance for all University/Federal/Institute regulations, coordinating related education and certification opportunities

  • Gathers and analyzes business requirements

  • Works with project owner in making decisions on project related issues

  • Works with project owner in making high-level implementation/operational decisions on projects

  • Works with the finance and grants staff to prepare and monitor budgets as well as maintaining budget reports to ensure goals are achieved

  • Seeks feedback from others as necessary to ensure decisions do not conflict with business

  • Supports the development of technology user guides, training materials, and other descriptive

  • Works with project owner to develop and coordinate the implementation of project work plans and timelines

  • Works with project owner and technical staff to ensure test plans are developed and timelines

  • Assist in development of data requests, perform data validation and chart review.

  • Uses creative thinking to determine goals and develop and improve processes

  • Prepares and maintains IRB submissions and acts as a point of contact for IRB information and guidance for investigators and other staff as applicable

  • Prepares and presents reports to clients, granting agencies, or other persons

  • Assists in development and submission of grant applications

  • Prepares research presentations, abstracts, lectures, posters, and manuscripts

  • Conducts meetings, including organizing and leading meetings, producing agendas, writing and distributing minutes, and maintaining written records for all

  • Works with the project owner and client or granting agencies to manage the technology or other project components

  • Works with the project owner to plan, coordinate, and manage the work of project team members

  • Facilitates technical support to team members

  • Manages multiple grant projects



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required

  • Master's degree and/or advanced information technology certifications are preferred

  • Combined 3 years' experience in Project coordination and/or project management is required

  • Background in public health is preferred

  • Experience submitting Federal grant proposals is preferred

  • Project management Successful completion of a Human Subjects Certification is required

  • Is familiar with advanced concepts, practices, and procedures in:


    • Project management

    • General business operations particularly in healthcare industry

    • Team management and development

    • Use of medical informatics in healthcare industry



    • Development of and tracking of budgets

    • Process analysis and management

    • Software development methodologies

    • Data privacy practices and laws





LANGUAGE SKILLS


  • Ability to interact and verbally communicate with groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

  • Ability to write reports and operational correspondence

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations



REASONING ABILITY


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Ability to think logically in order to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make sound decisions
