Position Summary

The Nutrition Clinical Registrar is responsible for training, leading, and motivating team members. The duties include but are not limited to:




  • Assisting management by serving in the "lead" role and functioning as a group/team mentor and resource liaison. The Team Leader must be highly proficient with insurance and verification/benefits and eligibility procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate patient demographic and financial information is obtained and verified by all registrars.
  • Ensures that all registrars utilize electronic insurance verification systems available, assisting with the precertification and referral/authorizations, and assessing patient financial liability.
  • Assists in managing provider templates as well as serves in a registrar capacity.
  • Ensures training on both registration system and clinic workflow processes.
  • Communicates effectively with the clinic staff and providers in order to improve patient flow within the clinic.


  • This position requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
  • Also required is the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain medical center policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.



Education/Experience:

Work requires a high school level of educational development and two years of previous experience.

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift, No Weekends

Salary Range: Minimum 18.31 per hour - Maximum 30.24 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
