Overview
The Probation & Parole Supervisor performs work in accordance with correctional policies, directives, and procedures. Candidates must form working relationships with clients, function as role models, and work with other DOC staff, community service providers and community boards as appropriate. You'll liaison with other correctional units and Human Service Agencies. Duties include supervising Probation & Parole Officers and Community Correctional Officers. Candidates will be required to attend mandatory training as determined by the department. All employees of the Agency of Human Services perform their respective functions adhering to key practices: customer service, holistic service, strengths-based relationships, and results orientation. Evening and weekend work may occur. Emergency situations may require availability at any time. Who May Apply

Duties are mainly performed in a field office. Job duties require private means of transportation and some travel is expected. Evening and weekend work may occur. Emergency situations may require availability at any time. Direct contact with offenders is predictable and poses possible danger. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND five(5) years or more of work experience, including three(3) years in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of correctional services for clients in a human services setting. Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree. Special Requirements
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
