Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Acute Care Surgery team at Butterworth Hospital and Multi-Specialty Trauma clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rotate through three main services: Trauma, Surgery, and SICU 14 shifts every 28 days Weekend call is 1:4 and holiday rotationis one per year Looking for an individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing different diagnosis. This individual should be flexible and work well with a team. Preferred: 2+ years acute care experience as an APP Some of the responsibilities for this role include: Consults, admissions, and discharges Trauma: Assistance in Trauma Bay for all trauma activations (must be proficient in ATLS to lead a trauma,, must know how to expedite emergency consults, rapidly enters orders) Surgery: Pre-op preparation and post-op orders and evaluations (varies based on surgery performed) Direct patient care and floor management Procedures: arterial lines, central lines, bronchoscopy, intubation Qualifications Physician Assistant Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Nurse Practitioner Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master's, post-master's or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) Butterworth Hospital Right in the heart of Grand Rapids, you'll find a nationally recognized hospital for patient quality and safety and the regional leader in full-service hospitals.
