Description

The Director of eCommerce Operations will lead a strategic, cross-functional approach to drive operational excellence in our eCommerce channel. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the eCommerce fulfillment strategy, optimizing cost-to-serve, and enhancing customer experience across all segments. The Director will work closely with Business Units and Sales Teams to align eCommerce operations with company objectives and growth targets. Additionally, this leader will leverage analytics to provide insights, drive innovation, and identify opportunities to support scalability and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fulfillment Strategy & Execution
    • Design and oversee end-to-end eCommerce fulfillment processes to ensure efficiency, speed, and accuracy
    • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to implement scalable fulfillment solutions that meet diverse customer needs
    • Identify and integrate new technologies or automation tools to streamline eCommerce operations
  • Cost Management & Optimization
    • Develop and monitor key metrics to manage and reduce the eCommerce cost-to-serve, balancing service levels with cost efficiency
    • Drive cost-saving initiatives by optimizing fulfillment, packaging, and delivery processes
    • Partner with Finance and the Business Units to analyze cost trends and implement data-driven cost-reduction strategies
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Drive innovation across eCommerce operations by exploring new technologies, operational models, and best practices
    • Develop a culture of continuous improvement by fostering a data-driven mindset within the eCommerce operations team
    • Implement and refine KPIs to assess eCommerce operational performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships
    • Act as a key liaison between eCommerce operations, Business Units, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on goals and objectives
    • Support Business Units in identifying and implementing eCommerce growth opportunities
    • Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure seamless support and communication across the customer journey
    • Work closely with IT, including the ERP teams to keep everyone informed
  • Data Analytics & Insights
    • Leverage analytics to drive decision-making, track performance, and uncover actionable insights for continuous improvement
    • Utilize data to monitor customer behavior, fulfillment efficiency, and cost-to-serve metrics
    • Develop and present reports and dashboards to communicate performance, progress, and strategy alignment to leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience leveraging data to drive operational decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive change through influence.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of fulfillment center operations, encompassing goods receiving, picking/packing, inventory control, and direct-to-consumer fulfillment
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, fulfillment technologies, and warehouse execution systems.
  • Experience in eComm/small parcel operations, 1P relationships with eComm Customers, and 3P marketplace experience is critical
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • 10+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, supply chain management, or fulfillment strategy development
  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Domestic travel up to 20%
