Stimulating and challenging position working with one of the largest collections of clinical oncology data in the U.S. High-performing data and analytics team has an opening for a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst to provide a myriad of services and expertise, with focus on oncology and clinical data. The person in this position will develop and implement complete, scalable data-driven process improvement within the practice environment. This individual will use oncology data and clinical expertise to create, test and launch actionable insights for oncology practices to use for decision-making. This individual has excellent project management and communication skills and can independently lead projects which involve multiple stakeholders, including clinical practice staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes complex data and extracts meaningful information by leveraging multiple data sets to make recommendations that solve business problems or foster new business.
  • Works without considerable direction.
  • Fully competent in multiple domains and/or has deep/specialized subject matter expertise, and uses data and market/industry trends to contextualize and drive decision making
  • Proactively collaborates cross functionally with peers and senior leaders to anticipate, understand, and translate stakeholders' needs into direct deliverables/solutions.
  • Applies advanced critical thinking and business intelligence best practices to complex problems that require frequent use of creativity to maximize value to the business (e.g., descriptive statistics, data mining, and visualization techniques)
  • Proactively leverages deep business intelligence expertise to synthesize information from multiple platforms and data sources to develop robust solutions (e.g., dashboards, reporting) that empower stakeholders.
  • Exerts freedom to determine objectives and course of action.
  • Skilled at performing exploratory data analysis and/or testing hypotheses within multiple focus areas, could include market/industry trends
  • Regularly monitors lead measures related to key performance indicators for business domain area, and proactively addresses shifts in trends with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Distills complex information and adapts communications accordingly to translate abstract topics/problems and bridge the gap between technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including senior executives, to drive action
  • Coaches colleagues with less experience, training them in domain knowledge and advanced technical and communication skills.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.     $102,800 - $171,400
