Overview

Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning is looking for a talented Director Communications to transform the way we engage employees and external stakeholders within Hexagon. In this position, you will implement and execute comprehensive communications strategies, ensuring alignment with Hexagon organizational goals and constant improvement of tools, processes, and engagement initiatives.

Reporting directly to the co-president of the division, this position will join a high-performance team focused on creating impactful communications that inspires confidence in our company.

Responsibilities

As our Director of Communications, you would be responsiblefor:

    Work closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to maintain clear, consistent internal communication that aligns with the company's strategic goals
  • Lead the organization of key meetings and events, including GEM, L&L, QBR, and Hexagon Live, to support strategic alignment and team engagement.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop and promote a compelling employer brand that attracts top talent
  • Drive communications that reinforce management changes, aligning messaging to maintain trust and transparency
  • Lead, develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external communication strategy, ensuring messaging and tactics are tailored to enhance employee engagement and meet business objectives.
  • Create and curate executive content, such as social media posts, blog articles, divisional announcements, and newsletters, to boost leadership visibility and keep teams aligned.
  • Oversee internal communication channels, including platforms, distribution lists to ensure streamlined and effective communication across the organization.
  • Prepare impactful presentations and key messages for co-presidents and divisional leaders, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities.
  • Provide Autonomy & Positioning input to Hexagon Investor Relations team by aligning internal communications with investor messaging, helping employees understand the company's strategic direction.
  • Conduct analytics on communication efforts to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in internal engagement.
  • Lead initiatives to boost employee engagement, fostering a positive and connected workplace culture that reflects company values.
  • Manage crisis communications to ensure timely, transparent, and clear information reaches all employees during critical situations.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all external content, including Hexagon projects and corporate initiatives.


Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or advertising.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in internal communications and message creation
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The role may involve up to 30% travel. May require international travel for events.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strategic thinking, proactive approach, advanced interpersonal and relation -building skills, collaborative and adaptable mindset, analytical and problem-solving abilities, data-driven approach, exceptional project management expertise, strong media and external relations acumen.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with technology autonomy technology and markets
  • Previous experience with Mining, Agriculture, Marine, Defence, Automotive, Autonomy, or Positioning.
  • Master's Degree.
