The Position

Senior Director / Business Partner - RSS

Position summary

The Senior Director / Business Partner is representing RSS at Genentech and is responsible for engaging with our key stakeholders, to strengthen the relationship. While overseeing RSS services on site and listening to first hand feedback about existing RSS services, the individual should engage with senior management to identify additional areas, where RSS can generate value for Genentech.

The job holder works on various aspects of stakeholder relationship management with the aim to identify areas where we can create additional value for Roche / Genentech. Focus is around the Business Lines Analytics & Automation, Enterprise Capabilities and New Services & Solutions.

Responsibilities

General accountabilities

* Represent RSS in Senior Management discussions in Genentech, to increase transparency about RSS current service scope and capabilities.

* Understand the needs of Genentech and translate it together with our partner to potential servicing solutions to be delivered by RSS.

* Connect with RSS teams who are providing services to Genentech and share any feedback or needs gathered

* Represent the team in different leadership forums in front of internal and external
stakeholders

* Sharing best practices with counterparties and peers globally to be aligned amongst RSS Business Lines

* Move effectively between strategy and operational details

* Prepare, organize and coordinate regular partnership meetings with Genentech to transparently share outcomes and upcoming initiatives

* Create and maintain platform with RSS networks and partner functions to ensure
collaborative relationships

Stakeholder relationship management

* Act as first point of contact for customers/assigned and designated sites; coordinate discussions between partners and RSS teams

* Proactively communicate by addressing difficult situations upfront to avoid possible
escalations

* Work closely with RSS Business Lines to ensure transparency and efficient delivery across RSS globally

* In case of new service opportunities/demands, partner up with the requester to understand customer needs

* Ensure partner experience is captured. Share partner feedback with the organization, identify key focus areas and make sure improvement action plans are in place and are tracked until implementation

* Continuously seek Process Improvement opportunities on existing scope and support delivery business lines in their implementation

* Proven track record of stakeholder relationship management experience

Relocation Benefits are not available for this job posting and this role will be on site in South San Francisco Genentech campus.

  • *Bachelor's/Master's Degree Business Administration or similar is required

  • 10+ years of Customer Relations or Consulting, Business Partnering and Business Development experience

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is between $197,500 and $367,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
