LSSI is hiring afull-timeRecovery Support Specialist,Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Provide positive mentorship and recovery support services to residents at Healthy Start Recovery Home and/or Kenmore Residential Rehabilitation. This includes case management, documentation, and individual meetings with clients.

Essential Functions:
- Assist residents in becoming proactive and engaged in their own recovery journey by developing and maintaining recovery-oriented and wellness-focused lifestyles.
- Conduct intakes and other related tasks for both the recovery home and residential rehabilitation programs.
- Lead daily community group for residential rehabilitation program.
- Provide advocacy and case management services for residents in both the recovery home and residential rehabilitation programs.
- Transport residents to appointments, as needed.
- Function as part of a treatment team and collaborate with both internal and external programs/agencies to meet resident's recovery needs.
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets Part 2060 and other applicable payer/funder requirements.
- Comply with documentation and productivity standards.
- Familiarity with all emergency procedures.
- Adherence to ethical standards of treatment according to NASW Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- 1-3 years of experience in substance use field is preferred.
- CRSS is required.
- Proficiency in EHR documentation and review.
- Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Driving is required.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing for the state of residency and insurance.
- Valid Illinois statutory and liability insurance coverage is required.
