LSSI is hiring afull-timeRecovery Support Specialist,Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Provide positive mentorship and recovery support services to residents at Healthy Start Recovery Home and/or Kenmore Residential Rehabilitation. This includes case management, documentation, and individual meetings with clients.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist residents in becoming proactive and engaged in their own recovery journey by developing and maintaining recovery-oriented and wellness-focused lifestyles.
  • Conduct intakes and other related tasks for both the recovery home and residential rehabilitation programs.
  • Lead daily community group for residential rehabilitation program.
  • Provide advocacy and case management services for residents in both the recovery home and residential rehabilitation programs.
  • Transport residents to appointments, as needed.
  • Function as part of a treatment team and collaborate with both internal and external programs/agencies to meet resident's recovery needs.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets Part 2060 and other applicable payer/funder requirements.
  • Comply with documentation and productivity standards.
  • Familiarity with all emergency procedures.
  • Adherence to ethical standards of treatment according to NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in substance use field is preferred.
  • CRSS is required.
  • Proficiency in EHR documentation and review.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Driving is required.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing for the state of residency and insurance.
  • Valid Illinois statutory and liability insurance coverage is required.
