What Is Your Impact?

As a trusted advisor to GuideWell's business partners, the Senior IT Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and security of our organization's IT control environment and critical data. As a member of our Internal Audit function, you will drive positive organizational change by working closely with audit management and business stakeholders to provide objective, strategically relevant, and useful assessments of IT risks and controls.

As an individual contributor, you will lead various aspects of the project lifecycle for assigned IT risk audits, including analysis of security posture of IT assets, enterprise cybersecurity processes, IT change management, data integrations, data privacy and other critical IT processes. You will leverage emerging technologies (such as AI) to facilitate the audit process, drive innovation, and improve department and organization efficiency. In this role, you will have opportunities to develop your expertise in IT audit, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the company's overall success.

What Are the Key Responsibilities?



  • Support the risk analysis function through the information-gathering process, assessment of supporting technologies, and development of the audit program. Collaborate with Audit team management regarding audit program development.
  • Perform research on technologies included in the scope of audits, identifying assessment focus areas based upon risk analysis.
  • Execute key control testing through detailed analysis of various technical environments including operation systems, databases, network components and devices, and the related IT processes to manage those environments.
  • Communicate with audit stakeholders regarding audit process and activities, artifact request management, risks, and audit results. Track auditee remediation plans adopted to mitigate significant risks.


What Is REQUIRED?



  • 3+ years related work experience to include technology audit experience or related technical controls experience Applicants with 2+ years of Big 4 experience (Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young or KPMG) specifically will also be considered.
  • Related bachelor's degree or (4 years) additional related equivalent work experience Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in auditing, administering and/or performing other risk assessment functions for a variety of technical platforms, such as operating systems, databases, networks, firewall systems, web services and/or cloud services
  • Experience documenting key processes, risks, control objectives and controls in narrative and process flow format
  • Experience in testing of IT general controls, IT application controls, systems conversions and/or upgrades
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work towards the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation


What is PREFERRED?



  • Bachelor's degree Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in performing detailed risks assessment or auditing the following systems/environments: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AIX Unix, Windows Server, Windows Active Directory, Red Hat Openshift, z/OS, DB2 DB, Oracle DB, MongoDB, PostgresDB, network appliances.
  • Experience in a payer and/or healthcare provider or related supporting organization environment, including HIPAA and compliance relative to protected health information (PHI) / personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Basic working knowledge of applicable regulatory and/or control frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 1, SOC 2, Model Audit Rule)


Preferred Licenses and Certifications:



  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor

Salary Information:

To support your financial wellbeing, we offer competitive pay as well as opportunities for incentive or commission compensation. We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases.

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $80,800 - $101,000 (*** Please Note: This is the budgeted and set hiring range for this specific position***)

Annualized Salary Range: $80,800 - $131,300 (***Please note: (This is to show the long-term financial growth and maximum salary cap for this specific role)

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
