Your Role With Us:The role of an Employee Relations Specialist is centered on maintaining a fair, compliant, and supportive workplace by managing employee relations issues, ensuring adherence to policies, and contributing to overall organizational goals. Core Responsibilities:
  1. Policy Interpretation and Compliance:

    • Explaining company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws to employees and leaders.
    • Advising employees on their rights and fair treatment within the workplace.
  2. Case Management:

    • Documenting and tracking cases in HR platforms like HR Acuity and Infor.
    • Ensuring comprehensive, real-time updates on case progress.
    • Handling confidentiality while maintaining detailed and accurate documentation.
  3. Investigations:

    • Conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and respondents in cases involving policy or cultural violations.
    • Collaborating with senior staff for guidance on complex or sensitive cases.
    • Using professional interviewing techniques to gather relevant facts.
  4. Data and Tool Utilization:

    • Leveraging HR tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to document findings and analyze data.
    • Recommending improvements to tools and processes for better documentation.
  5. Employee Support and Engagement:

    • Supporting workforce engagement initiatives to enhance productivity and patient outcomes.
    • Advising employees and leaders on handling workplace concerns effectively.
  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Leading or participating in projects aimed at refining processes and improving outcomes in employee relations.

    Background/Expertise:

    • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience or six (6) years of experience (without educational requirement) in employee relations, human resources, investigations, and/or compliance-related work required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
    • Knowledge of employment laws preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills preferred.
    • Ability to handle sensitive issues with neutrality preferred.
    • Effective multitasking and time management skills preferred.
