Temporary Administrative Assistant

Location: Mariposa County, California; Merced County, California; Monterey County, California; San Benito County, California; Santa Cruz County, California


ABOUT THIS TEMP POSITION

This is a temporary position and the length of assignment is estimated to be four months from the start date. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business need and dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.



WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Health Services Officer, this position:



  • Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of a function, program or department
  • Provides administrative support to a work team, manager, and/or department director

  • Knowledge of:


    • General administrative procedures and standard business office practices
    • Operating standard office equipment
    • Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and business correspondence format
    • Principles and practices of meeting coordination and scheduling
    • Windows based PC systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Basic principles and practices of project management


  • Ability to:

    • Thorough understanding of the roles, organization, policies and procedures of the department to which assigned
    • Interpret, explain and apply processes, policies, and procedures
    • Define issues, gather and interpret data, define options, and make recommendations for action
    • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines and administer competing operational priorities
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Schedule, support, and coordinate meetings, including agenda and minute preparation and distribution


  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience (an Associate's degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying.





OTHER INFORMATION



  • We are in a hybrid work environment, and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.
  • This is a temporary position and does not provide the benefits that are listed below (it is standard language from our regular job posts and cannot be altered or removed).



The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Zone 1 (Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz)
$35 - $38 USD
Zone 2 (Mariposa and Merced)
$33 - $35 USD

Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. These benefits are unavailable to temporary employees while on an assignment with the Alliance.
