The Program Billing Lead will be responsible for billing and claims for all CalAIM programs ensuring all pieces of process are in place. This role will report to the Operational Compliance Manager position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and understand detailed nuances of each CalAIM Program health plan funder contract regarding billing and claims process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all CalAIM Program claims.
  • Provide estimates of monthly revenue by program to Accounting Team prior to claims submission after approval by Program Managers.
  • Tracks all denied claims in partnership with Accounting Team and works with Program Managers to resubmit/resolve denial reasons.
  • Works with Technology Services to ensure build out of claims functionality for new programs in EHR is in line with contractual requirements and maximizes billing opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with CalAIM Leadership Team, Accounting Team, and Technology Services Teams to improve program and process efficiencies.
  • Attends and actively participates in team and program meetings, activities and problem-solving endeavors; contributes to open lines of communication within the team.
  • Understands and applies the regulatory and procedural requirements of the Institute on Aging.
  • Attends continuing education classes and/or in-service training to increase knowledge, skills and attitudes related to CalAIM client population.
  • All other reasonably related responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in health care related field preferred.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of & experience with CalAIM billing and claims process preferred.
  • Experience with Medi-Cal billing and coding required.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Strong relationship and communication skills required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel fluency required.

Compensation

  • Range: $71,797.00-83,826.46/annual

This amount is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education and other factors.

This range does not include any additional equity, benefits, or othernon-monetarycompensation which may be included.
