Summary

The Enterprise Organizational Change Manager will drive the adoption of organization, process and tool changes for enterprise projects. This role is an integral role of the Weisiger Group Enterprise Project Management Organization (ePMO) team to deliver strategic change, organization design and governance, culture and technology adoption solutions that enable the success of transformation goals for Weisiger Group, Carolina Cat, and LiftOne.

This role interfaces with senior business and information technology leaders and team members, as well as vendors and external consultants. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of OCM Change Management, Organizational Alignment, Communications and Training knowledge for technical and non-technical projects.

This role will report to the Director of the ePMO of Weisiger Group and will be a member of the Business Technology team. As a Shared Services employee, the candidate will be expected to support two divisions that are headquartered in different areas of Charlotte, NC and have branches across the Southeast United States. Occasional travel will be required and will be based on the support requirements of the projects assigned. This is an onsite dependent role located in Charlotte, NC.

For the first 6-9 months in this role you will be required to be onsite 5 days a week. After you will transition into a hybrid model. Candidate must currently reside in Charlotte, NC. Relocation will not be provided.

Essential Functions

  • Define and then employ a structured change management methodology to ensure a smooth transition to the future state and the associated role and processes changes related to the change.
  • Work closely with project leaders to layout a change management program and roadmap for the length of the implementation project through hyper care and adoption. Assess the magnitude and timing of major changes, the organization's change readiness and the key stakeholders impacted by the change.
  • Create and execute communication and training plans to ensure all employees are fully aware of the impending changes. Define activities to support change and transition initiatives. Create plans that accommodate the needs of different stakeholder groups impacted by the change. Work with resources to define and create training and tools.
  • Identify potential points of resistance and develop counterstrategies to mitigate or minimize potential resistance. Assess the impact of change on the organization, using assessments of organizational culture, performance, and readiness for change. Account for events that impact employees and external stakeholder and review ongoing changes to identify change thresholds and potential change fatigue.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring around good change management practices to senior leadership and project managers to increase their effectiveness in driving sustainable change. Lead a community of change agents and leverage trusted informal leaders to influence successful organizational change.
  • Lay out plan and timing to work with the business and HR to redesign jobs, define behavioral competencies and performance metrics related to the new roles created with the change. Create mechanisms to incent new behaviors and role requirements.

Education and/or Experience

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certification in a change management methodology.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience deploying change management efforts as a management consultant or member of an enterprise change team.
  • Specific experience leading ERP/major systems upgrades/replacements and other technology/innovation high impact business process and organizational change projects.
  • Significant experience in creating change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and business benefit.
  • Track record of successful organizational change management related to IT systems implementations and enterprise-wide change initiatives.
  • Experience in managing change job and org structures and influencing senior business leaders.
  • Applicant should show experience running multiple projects and programs simultaneously to successful completion.
  • Experience working in a company structure with multi-locations spread out over multi-city/state geographies.
  • Depth of directing content/training development, as well as high impact presentations at all org levels.

Preferred:

  • Proven experience in a consulting and/or client-facing environment and large-scale project management.
  • Advanced degree in related specialization area.
  • Corporate communications experience.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment dealers or manufacturers or working with a family-owned business.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience and deep knowledge of change management methodologies, approaches and tools.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, which are essential for interacting with key stakeholders at all levels across the project to manage, inform and influence successful project outcomes (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word).
  • Intermediate skills with team productivity tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Good working knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies and ERP/technology implementation project life cycles highly desirable.
  • Expertise in setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Deep understanding of the impact of change, and the interdependencies with and impact on the business.
  • Financial and performance skills to ensure that organization change efforts improve project performance and business benefit realization.
