Responsibilities The Vice President (VP) - Legal Counsel is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing legal affairs within the organization. Responsible for handling a variety of assigned legal projects within the legal department, including primary responsibility for drafting, negotiating, analyzing, reviewing, and maintaining contracts, and providing legal advice to credit union executives and staff. The role requires an experienced legal professional with a strong background in financial services, contracts, and compliance. The VP will work closely with the EVP, CFO, to ensure that the credit union operates within the boundaries of applicable laws and regulations while safeguarding its contractual interests.
