Position Summary: Vallen's Integrated Supply National Account Manager is potentially a staff management position responsible for implementing sales strategies for increasing profitable sales growth in assigned customers engaged in Integrated Supply solutions. In addition, they build and enhance customer relationships in pursuit of selling the organization's solutions, products, and services to achieve performance goals in areas of sales, gross margin, profitability, customer cost-savings, value propositions and other customer contractual commitments. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership to onsite sales team(s) providing Integrated Supply solutions. Staff management duties include, but are not limited to interviewing, selecting, hiring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Identifies, establishes, and manages effective customer relationships with key senior-level decision makers, stakeholders, and influencers within assigned integrated supply accounts to formulate, sell, and execute strategic supply chain solutions.
- Leads and participates in customer business reviews and site assessments to identify strategic business challenges and priorities; lead teams in analyzing information and prioritizing opportunities critical to the customer.
- Provides leadership to and oversees the execution of multiple project plans simultaneously; provides approval for or drives corrective action for plan deviations; prepares and provides project status reports to customer and Vallen leadership teams as scheduled or requested.
- Develops strategies focused on new and organic growth by expanding Vallen's program within assigned client base. Appropriately engages business development, suppliers, and other sales resources. Coordinates sales activities at the customer level to insure alignment with the customer's corporate initiatives.
- Initiates, identifies, and presents new innovation, continuous improvement ideas, leads projects to completion and ensures cost savings commitments are exceeded and are captured in Vallen VPP and/or customers ERP system.
- Coordinates Vallen's field sales activities at the local level to ensure the customer's corporate initiatives are communicated, implemented and achieved.
- Ensures all contractual obligations are met.
- Performs vendor management on behalf of the customer; may negotiate unique supplier contracts or source new preferred vendors.
- Is accountable for the attainment of customer enterprise-wide and site level key performance initiatives (e.g. service levels, cost savings, sales growth, etc.); prepares and delivers various forms of customer analytics from which business decision can be made.
- Contributes to strategies focused on expanding Vallen's national account client base to gain new business; pursues prospects and produces new account revenue in line with individual goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Staff Management Responsibilities: Direct management of a department, section, unit or group involving responsibility for results in terms of cost, methods and personnel. Full accountability for hiring, discipline, discharge, performance appraisals, salary administration, etc. BachelorJJob Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Mgt, Marketing, Finance, etc.) and 5+ years of outside or inside experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry (indirect materials a plus).
- 5+ years of staff management with a proven track record as a team leader demonstrating a solid understanding of people management practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated financial stewardship and business acumen.
- Management and analysis of P&L (preferably in excess of $20m)
- Ability to produce and interpret various financial forecast models.
- Success with designing profitable business proposals.
- Demonstrated consultative selling skills and the ability to close sales opportunities.
- Ability to mentor staff to develop succession and professional development.
- Proficiency with MS-Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,) and the technical aptitude to learn all company specific programs and software applications.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with professional presence to deliver materials to a C-level executive audience (internally and/or externally).

- As noted above, extensive travel is required for this position. Must be able to get self to and from airports and legally operate rental vehicles.

- Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand and may include little to no advanced notice.
- While performing the duties of this job, associates are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
