Senior Treasury Accountant

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Senior Treasury Accountantfor our Finance Team.

This highly motivated, data-driven individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily cash management operations, ensuring accurate cash positioning and forecasting, managing corporate bank accounts, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure smooth financial operations. You will play a key role in liquidity management, debt and investment accounting, as well as maintaining internal controls, all while seeking opportunities for process improvements within treasury functions.

This position reports to theDirector of Finance. This role is onsite and is based in our corporate office in Somerville, MA.

Responsibilities:



  • Cash Management:Oversee daily cash management operations, ensuring accurate and efficient cash positioning and forecasting for the organization.
  • Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual treasury-related financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liquidity Management: Monitor and analyze liquidity levels and recommend strategies for optimizing working capital and minimizing financing costs.
  • Bank Account Management:Manage corporate bank accounts, including account reconciliation, fee analysis, and ensuring that banking services align with organizational needs. Work to transition acquired entities banking relationships to our control.
  • Treasury Forecasting:Lead the preparation of cash flow forecasts, short-term and long-term liquidity projections, and financial models for internal stakeholders.
  • Debt and Investment Accounting:Assist with the accounting and reporting of debt and investment transactions, including interest accruals, amortization, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Internal Controls:Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls related to treasury processes and ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with other departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and Finance, to support overall financial operations and ensure seamless coordination.
  • Audit Support:Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, including providing required documentation and resolving any treasury-related issues.
  • Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements within treasury functions and work on automating or streamlining tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


Basic Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in treasury accounting or related finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and treasury operations.
  • Proficiency in Oracle preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to perform complex financial analysis.
  • Solid understanding of cash flow management, debt accounting, and financial instruments.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
