Job Summary
Managing, leading, and developing a high-performing inventory and materials planning team. Skilled in creating and executing effective production and procurement strategies to ensure supply plans align with inventory investment goals and meet customer service targets. Focused on continuous improvement, team training, and optimizing processes to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to lead a team, focus on continuous improvement, and develop talent.
- Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
- Analyze multiple sources of data to develop feasible, master production plans for finished goods based on capacity requirements.
- Efficiently schedule capacity utilization across 10 production lines with varying technologies: in a 24/7 production operating environment.
- Work closely with manufacturing facilities to ensure production plans are executed in accordance with established plans.
- Evaluate real-time demand consumption and plant performance information; take corrective action to optimize inventory in accordance with those trends.
- Utilize and maintain advanced planning systems and optimization (PPDS) to achieve working capital management, manufacturing stability and customer service level targets; includes creation and maintenance of critical master data.
- Provide supply side analysis to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with global suppliers, supporting 1 internal manufacturing plant as well as 30 global sub-contracting partners with $250M in material purchases.
- Interact frequently with Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Sourcing, and Supply Planning personnel to balance efficiency, supply, and demand.
- Manage Excess & Obsolete inventory. Drive activity to reduce and facilitate process for disposition.
- Identify and implement inventory management plans to achieve customer service goals, cost improvement objectives, and warehouse constraints, including oversight of cycle count programs at 30 domestic and international subcontracting partners.
- Contribute as a key team member at meetings and reviews, with key accountabilities for providing metrics, resolving issues, proposing alternate methods, identifying corrective actions, and presenting information.
- Recommend and implement strategies to improve supply planning processes as well as manage risks and opportunities for assigned projects.
- Analyze department performance metrics to resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion in a fluid environment.
- Partner with 4ward team on implementation of SAP IBP and S4/Hana.
- Create a culture of challenge, partnership, and engagement that is fun and rewarding.
- Support the function and business with ad-hoc requests as needed.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's degree; preferably in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of seven years related work experience in production and inventory management, supply chain management; in a domestic manufacturing environment.
- ERP experience Requires (SAP preferred)
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of supply planners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, fostering collaboration, and driving high performance. Strong focus on team development, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement.

- Skilled in independently organizing tasks, managing competing priorities, and ensuring the timely completion of all projects.
- Solid foundation in mathematics and analytical problem-solving to support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex data, reports, and information to support decision-making.
- Capable of delivering clear, engaging, and impactful presentations to various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) for efficient planning, resource management, and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, document creation, and professional presentations.
