Marketing Automation Specialist FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing & Communications POSITION SUMMARY: Everything we do at BBSI is in support of business owners. The Marketing Automation Specialist works with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and IT, to ensure seamless execution of automated marketing campaigns. They collaborate closely with the design and content teams to create compelling marketing materials, the sales team to align lead generation efforts, and oversees data analytics to track and optimize campaign performance. Additionally, they engage with external vendors for tool integration and optimization while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and execute data-driven marketing automation strategies that drive lead generation and customer engagement. They will demonstrate the ability to analyze performance metrics, optimize campaigns through A/B testing, and make strategic adjustments to improve ROI. The candidate will also excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating across departments, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Additionally, they should be able to leverage marketing automation tools like HubSpot and CRM platforms such as Salesforce to support both marketing and sales initiatives. The objectives of the Marketing Automation Specialist are to develop and implement data-driven automation strategies that optimize lead generation and engagement, streamline campaign processes, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, and collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals while continuously improving tools and workflows for enhanced performance. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing Automation Oversight: Be responsible for managing the company's marketing automation software (HubSpot) and ensuring its efficient use in all campaigns. Digital Marketing Automation Strategy: Develop and implement marketing automation strategies designed to increase leads, optimize campaigns, and build accurate customer reports. Persona-Based Campaigns: Create and manage automated marketing campaigns tailored to our customer ICP and aligned with the customer lifecycle. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all marketing operations comply with data protection regulations (CCPA) and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Data & Analytics: Analyze marketing performance data (conversion rates, lead generation metrics) to provide insights and improve future campaigns. Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the marketing workflow and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency. Tool Research & Optimization: Research and recommend new marketing automation tools to improve lead generation and engagement strategies. CRM Utilization: Leverage Salesforce (CRM) software to support lead generation, sales tracking, and conversion optimization. A/B Testing: Set up and run A/B tests to optimize campaign performance and conversion rates. Project Management: Oversee and coordinate the execution of multi-channel automated marketing campaigns, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Data Analysis & Reporting: Review campaign performance data to identify trends and opportunities, using insights to create data-driven strategies and adjust ongoing campaigns. CORE TRAITS/COMPETENCIES: * Results oriented, accountable and highly organized * Strong client service orientation * Commitment to team collaboration * Detail oriented and quality driver * Understanding of economic environment and effect on business * Business owner empathy * Stakeholder mentality * Innately curious * Highly ethical QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. * Proficiency in marketing automation software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Salesloft). * Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and reporting tools. * Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization. * Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus for customizing marketing templates. * Experience with SEO/SEM and digital marketing best practices. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. * Ability to create and present reports that provide actionable insights. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines. * Experience working cross-functionally with teams to deliver projects on time. * Familiarity with data privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR, and ensuring compliance in marketing campaigns. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION: The hourly pay rate for this position is $36.00 - $38.70. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications, and other qualifications of the candidate. This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Paid Time Off: 40 hours of paid sick leave annually (additional sick/front loading/accrual, if any, based on state or regional requirements); vacation accrues up to 80 hours in the first year, up to 120 hours in years 2-4, and up to 160 hours in the fifth year; 6 paid holidays annually, 4 paid volunteer days annually.
